Working mothers find it difficult to continue breastfeeding their infants due to a lack of breastfeeding-friendly space and childcare facilities at workplaces.

The Right to Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Act, 2018 that states that workplaces should make necessary arrangements for the woman working in its office for breastfeeding during the office hours up to two years from the birth of the infant.

According to the WHO, infants should be exclusively breastfed for the first six months of life to achieve optimal growth, development, and health.
