25th November 2021 – (Hong Kong) At 7.40am this morning (25th), a unit in Shek Sau Building, Shek Lei (I) Estate, suddenly caught fire. Thick smoke gushed out from the window of the building’s outer wall, alarming many residents to report the case. In addition, about 25 residents on nearby floors evacuated themselves to the ground temporarily.
The firefighters arrived at the scene and put out the fire at around 8.06am. Sources at the scene stated that firefighters rescued a male injured in the unit, but he had fallen into a coma and paramedics were required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the way to the hospital. The firefighters and the police are contacting two other residents in the unit.
