19th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) An industrial accident occurred at Trade Square, located at 681 Cheung Sha Wan Road, during the early hours of 19th January. Authorities received reports at approximately 3.50am indicating that two employees had fallen ill, suspected of inhaling carbon monoxide. One of the individuals, a 55-year-old woman named Leung, fainted and sustained a head injury during the incident. Both employees were conscious when transported to the hospital for treatment.

Prior to the incident, the company had experienced a power outage during a routine inspection of its electrical systems. Due to the presence of servers that could not be powered down, two diesel generators were temporarily used to supply electricity. After the employees finished work and turned off the generators, they left the premises. However, the enclosed environment led to a build-up of harmful gases released by the generators. Upon returning to the site, the two employees were affected by the carbon monoxide.
