Nainital – Lake City of India

Have you ever thought of Thanking Nature For always being priceless to us?
No? Well no problem, I may help you here with some of my ways to thank nature back.

Well let’s start off with “Nainital”
Which is surprisingly a Himalayan Resort town in Uttarakhand State and it is popularly known as a British hill station.
First thing first this tourism state is firmly famous because of their budget-friendly travel.
Plus points if you’re planning to travel with a bunch of friends so it would cost you lesser since expenses will be divided among many.

– For Stay
– Again you’ll find many homestays there at cheap prices (sharing/single).
– If you’re lucky enough you can also book a whole villa at a very cheaper price. (10k -4 days)
– Oyo / Air BNB and other hotel facilities are also easily accessible there.
For strolling
– 1- One of the primary and most famous
Adventure is boating 🛶 Nainital is to go around and take a tour of the scenic lakes. You can also enjoy a peaceful time boating.
Availability for Boats from 6 AM-7 PM
Ride duration would be your call – 30 mins to 1 hour.
Ticket prices are also cheap – 200RS for Full way Ride and 100 for a half ride.

2 – Do Visit the holy shrine Naina Devi Temple

The Naina Devi Temple is dedicated to goddess Naina Devi, who is believed to govern the Naini Lake. It is believed to be one of the 64 Shaktipeeth’s in India. The location of the temple is simply awe-inspiring, instilling a sense of tranquility in the pilgrims who come here to offer their prayers.
Entry timing – 4 AM – 10 PM as Aarti always held in the evening after 7 PM
Guess what? No charges for the entry. Which made me thinking of our next adventure which you must try once in a lifetime that is.

3 – Must do is going for an evening stroll by the lakeside, to make it more exciting try by-cycling at night after your delicious heavy dinner and to make it more lovey-dovey can try partner cycle and visit the I love Nainital Sign Board. Trust me I have tried it myself.

4 – Raj Bhavan (Governor House)
Museum Lovers get a gateway here. A Royal Place gives a feel of Buckingham Palace London and is a treat to visit, The two-story mansion contains around 113 rooms, but after 2007 hit back inside of ballroom, visitors are only allowed for videography till its vast lawns. Constructed by the British in 1924.
For tickets – they will charge you 50Rs Adult and will give you a guide whom you cannot leave and appreciating time is only half an hour.
Time to visit – 11 AM – 4 PM

5 – Hanuman Garhi – A Beautiful Temple

do not miss the most romantic and enchanting sunset. It is around 3.5 km away from the bus stop and taxis are available to reach there. Reach before 4 in the evening to witness the frenzy.
No ticket price.
Timings: 5 AM – 12 PM & 4 PM – 9 PM

Further, there are many other places you can visit like a woodland waterfall and there are famous 9 viewpoints for which you can hire a taxi for 1000Rs to 1200Rs for a day and they will take you to the most adventurous points for example-
Free Ropeway, snow view point, adventure point, rock climbing, cheena peak point, Tiffen top, Hawa Gufa, Sukha Taal , echo point, lovers point, and counting…
And you can easily spend your 4N 5days or 3N 4days trip in a clap 👏🏻 a tiny tip for cuisine go for Machan Restaurant which value your pocket and respects your taste buds.
