The Nepal Tourism Year 2025 and Chinese New Year Cultural Festival were inaugurated on Saturday amidst a grand ceremony at Layaku, Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The event featured vibrant cultural performances by Chinese and Nepali artists, celebrating the rich heritage of both nations.

The ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Minister for Energy, Deepak Khadka, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, and Bhaktapur Municipality Mayor Sunil Prajapati.

The festival, organised by the Chinese Embassy, Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Bhaktapur Municipality, and the Nepal Tourism Board, aimed to showcase the cultural harmony between Nepal and China. Traditional dances and songs representing the cultural essence of both nations were performed by the artists.
