25th November 2021 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong government officials will hold a second meeting with relevant mainland officials in Shenzhen today (25th). It is understood that after the mainland expert group inspected Hong Kong’s epidemic prevention and quarantine measures in Hong Kong a few days ago, they were preliminarily satisfied with Hong Kong’s arrangements. Therefore, the quarantine-free border reopening may be implemented earlier than originally expected, and it is likely to be implemented in early December. However, there are quota restrictions for the first stage of border reopening.
Only those travelling for business and compassionate reasons or those attending NPC and CPPCC meetings are more likely to meet the conditions.
