12th July 2024 – (Hong Kong) A scooter rider narrowly escaped a potentially fatal accident. The footage, uploaded by a netizen, is believed to have taken place at around 6.08am yesterday (11th) morning. The rider was travelling along the slow lane of a side road leading from the Island Eastern Corridor towards Siu Sai Wan.
As the scooter approached a bend near the Eastern District Hospital, it appeared to lose control, swaying from side to side. In a dramatic turn of events, the rider attempted to regain control but was thrown off the seat, resulting in a terrifying separation of man and machine. The scooter tumbled and collided with a roadside barrier, causing injuries to the rider. Fortunately, a private car approaching the fast lane managed to brake in time, preventing the rider from being caught under the vehicle. The video ends at this point.
