1st October 2022 – (Hong Kong) Some netizens initiated a forum discussion on ‘Top 5 MTR station exits with the longest walking distance‘ from train platforms. Passengers can take up to 12 minutes to get off the train before reaching the exit. For example, it takes at least 8 minutes to walk from East Tsim Sha Tsui Station to Exit L5.

At the bottom of the list is MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit L5. It will take at least 8 minutes from MTR TST East Station to reach the exit. There is no Pedestrian Walkway System built in between the platform and the exit. Fourth on the list is Exit A of MTR Causeway Bay Station, which leads directly to Times Square. Passengers who get off at the platform towards Chai Wan must walk past the platform towards Kennedy Town before taking the ramp to the exit gate, they then need to take several escalators before reaching the ground level.

It takes 12 minutes to get off from the Tseung Kwan O Line platform to reach Exit A at MTR Quarry Bay Station. As for the distance between Tsuen Wan Line platform of MTR Mei Foo Station and the exit near the Tuen Ma Line, it is a well-known long journey.
