11th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) A hiking accident occurred on Lantau Peak this afternoon, involving a 72-year-old man and three companions. At approximately 12.58pm, the group was navigating the trail when the man fell and sustained a bleeding head injury. His companions promptly alerted the authorities for assistance.
Rescue teams responded swiftly, and the Flying Service dispatched a helicopter to the scene. Successfully hoisting the conscious victim aboard, they transported him to the hospital for urgent medical care.
