5th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) At around 7pm today, a private vehicle suddenly burst into flames outside the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy located at 11 Pak Shing Kok, Tseung Kwan O. Witnesses reported hearing explosion-like sounds during the incident.
Emergency services from the academy responded promptly, deploying hoses and a firefighting team to extinguish the blaze, which they managed to control swiftly. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
According to on-site reports, the driver was dropping off a friend at the academy when the passenger exited the vehicle. Shortly after, the driver noticed smoke emanating from the front of the car. Upon opening the bonnet, flames erupted almost immediately.
