15th January 2025 – (Beijing) China’s second domestically-built large cruise ship, the Adora Flora City, has successfully completed its hull assembly as of 15th January, marking a significant milestone in its rapid construction phase. The ship, measuring 341 metres in length and 37.2 metres in width, is expected to be delivered in 2026.
Built by the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), the hull assembly process took just nine months—two months faster than that of its predecessor, the Adora Magic City. The Adora Flora City is designed to accommodate up to 5,232 passengers, featuring 2,130 cabins and offering a larger gross tonnage and double the courtyard space compared to its predecessor.
The cruise is scheduled to embark on its inaugural international voyage in 2027, departing from the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port in Guangdong Province. Since its launch on 1st January, 2024, the Adora Magic City has completed over 80 sailings and hosted more than 300,000 passengers, highlighting the growing popularity of China’s cruise industry.
