9th January 2025 – (Bangkok) Mainland actor Wang Xing, was recently rescued after being trafficked to a scam operation in Myawaddy, Myanmar, via Thailand. Following significant public outcry, he returned to Thailand on 7th January.

Sources close to the situation revealed to mainland media that the telecom fraud company responsible for his abduction released him voluntarily due to mounting pressure from various quarters.

Reports circulating on social media suggested that a ransom of 2 million RMB was paid for his release; however, insiders claim this is false. A knowledgeable individual, who has previously assisted families in rescuing others from similar operations, stated that Wang was held by a small telecom scam company and that the claims of a ransom were unfounded.

Wang’s girlfriend expressed her lack of knowledge regarding any ransom demands but indicated plans to compile resources for future rescues to aid others in similar circumstances. Moreover, it has been reported that former industry professionals have leaked information about actor schedules to these scam groups, facilitating their fraudulent activities.
