2nd October 2024 – (Tehran) Iran fired nearly 200 missiles at Israel on Tuesday, October 1. In response, the Chinese Embassy in Iran issued a security alert on Wednesday, urging Chinese citizens residing in the country to heighten their safety precautions.
As part of evacuation efforts, 146 Chinese nationals and five foreign family members safely arrived in Beijing on a chartered Air China flight after being evacuated from Lebanon. All Chinese citizens expressing a desire to leave Lebanon have been successfully relocated.
Chinese state media reported that a press team arriving in central Israel on Tuesday was met with missile attack alerts. Journalists, along with local pedestrians, took cover in nearby air defence facilities, where they heard the sounds of rockets being intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome system. Fortunately, no missiles landed in the area.
