13th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) An industrial accident occurred at around 4pm today at a construction site for a new hospital on Shing Cheong Road in Kai Tak. A section of scaffolding unexpectedly collapsed, resulting in injuries to eight workers who were unable to evade the falling structure. Colleagues on site promptly reported the incident.
The five workers were treated for injuries sustained during the collapse. A sixth worker, a female, was found unconscious upon rescue and was subsequently transported to hospital for further medical attention.
