
2nd October 2024 – (Hong Kong) A fire erupted early this morning at a restaurant located in the basement of 330, Shau Kei Wan Road at 8.23am. Firefighters dispatched a team equipped with breathing apparatus to control the blaze. A rescue team also arrived to assist in the operation, and the fire was swiftly extinguished.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and evacuation was not necessary. According to sources, the restaurant had not yet opened for business, and kitchen staff were on-site preparing ingredients when the fire ignited. It is believed that a malfunction in the oil mist extraction system during cooking triggered the incident.
