17th May 2024 – (Hong Kong) Retired Amy Yip recently appeared as a guest on a supernatural live broadcast hosted by Leung See-ho, Jojo Wong, and Darren Wong Yiu-ying on TVB. Yip, who maintains her youthful appearance, still boasts a 21-inch waistline. Sihao wasted no time and directly asked her about the rumours surrounding her involvement with supernatural practices. Yip denied the claims, stating, “No, I haven’t worshipped any deities. I only just heard about this ‘worshipping fox spirits’ today.” Master Lam, who was present, supported her by affirming, “Back in 1990, when she was popular, Hong Kong didn’t even have fox spirit temples. And it’s clear from her appearance that she hasn’t worshipped any.”
Yip mentioned that she has acted in several horror films but fortunately has never encountered any supernatural incidents. However, there was one peculiar encounter during a funeral she attended for a relative or friend. She shared, “The caretaker at the funeral parlour told me that three ‘children’ were following me.” Since then, she sought the assistance of a master to perform rituals and released birds as a means of dispelling the supernatural presence. As a result, she began abstaining from consuming chicken and other flying birds, explaining, “When people talk about releasing birds, it means you shouldn’t eat them anymore.”
