16th May 2024 – (Kuala Lumpur) Hong Kong actor Philip Keung, known for his Malaysian heritage, has been making significant strides in his career, particularly in Malaysia, where he has invested in property and established a strong presence. Recently, he flew to Malaysia to commence work on a film and a drama series, with plans to stay there until the summer before returning to Hong Kong. Keung attended the opening ceremony of his latest movie, where he revealed his challenging role as a sorcerer. He will share the screen with Supassara Thanachat, Kao, Singaporean actor and singer Glenn Yong, and Malaysian actress Yumi Wong, creating high anticipation among viewers.
In regards to his character, Keung candidly admitted that his wife initially opposed his decision to take on this role. However, he managed to convince her by assuring her that he would wholeheartedly embrace the character. As the filming start date draws nearer, Keung humorously confessed that he forgot to bring his personal amulet, jokingly expressing a slight sense of fear. To prepare for his first portrayal of a sorcerer, he accompanied the directors to Thailand for extensive research on the subject of sorcery and its practices, showcasing his professionalism.
Keung’s meticulous portrayal of the sorcerer’s appearance has garnered attention. The opening ceremony included a prayer for a smooth production.
Meanwhile, Yumi Wong and Glenn Yong will play social media influencers in the movie. The storyline revolves around their journey to Thailand in search of supernatural encounters, promising a thrilling and spine-chilling experience for audiences.
