31st October 2024 – (Hong Kong) M+, Asia’s global museum of contemporary visual culture located in the West Kowloon Cultural District, is set to celebrate its third anniversary in November 2024. Since its opening in November 2021, M+ has distinguished itself by showcasing a diverse array of world-class exhibitions and cinema programmes, attracting over 7.2 million visitors from Hong Kong and around the world. The museum ranks among the top twenty most visited museums globally and holds the title of the second most visited in Asia.
To express gratitude for public support, M+ will offer special free admission to all General Admission exhibitions and public programmes on Sunday, 10th November 2024. The museum will be open from 10am to 6pm, allowing visitors to explore exhibitions without the need for pre-registration.
Visitors are encouraged to enter the museum through the Artist Square Entrance, as some access points will be closed on that day. To ensure a high-quality experience, M+ will manage visitor numbers based on real-time conditions, which may require guests to queue outside. The museum will cease admitting new visitors to the queue at 16:00 to allow sufficient time for exploration.
On this special occasion, M+ Members, Patrons, and ticket holders for the Special Exhibitions “I. M. Pei: Life Is Architecture” and “Guo Pei: Fashioning Imagination” can enter through the Art Park Entrance. Ticket holders for these exhibitions will also enjoy complimentary access to the M+ Lounge on the 11th floor, a space typically reserved for Members and Patrons.
