5th September 2024 – (Hong Kong) Emergency services were alerted yesterday evening after a woman reported that her ex-husband was found unconscious in the bathroom of a unit at Kwai Shing West Estate in Kwai Chung. The 68-year-old man was discovered with a head injury and bleeding, having lost consciousness.
Rescue personnel arrived promptly and transported him to Yan Chai Hospital for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the incident, categorising it as a case of “unconsciousness leading to death after hospitalisation.” Initial findings suggest the man may have fallen and struck his head, contributing to his condition. The exact cause of death will be determined following an autopsy. Authorities are continuing to gather evidence to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
