Among the frontrunners are Ellyn Ngai (number 2) and Rose Chen (number 9), both of whom expressed their determination to perform well and not disappoint their supporters during an interview with local media.
As the final approaches, Ellyn shared her confidence, stating, “Everyone is well-prepared and undergoing intensive training, so I feel confident.” Rose added that her primary focus is improving her Cantonese skills, noting, “I’ve been communicating in Cantonese with my peers to enhance my fluency.”
When discussing the criteria for the “Most Photogenic” award, Ellyn emphasised the importance of confidence over beauty, asserting, “It’s about having a strong presence on camera.” Both contestants acknowledged their practice sessions in front of the mirror to refine their performance.
The contestants also praised fellow participant Candice Wong (number 3), who won the “Friendship Award.” Rose described Candice as endearingly clumsy and noted her support in improving Rose’s language skills, while Ellyn highlighted Candice’s sincerity and kindness.
