16th January 2025 – (Hng Kong) A robbery at Nam Fung Jewellery in Sheung Shui has led to the arrest of a Pakistani suspect, following a brazen attack by four masked men armed with knives and hammers. The incident unfolded around 6.30 pm yesterday, when the assailants stormed the store located at 101 San Fung Avenue, making off with a significant haul of gold jewellery.
Witnesses reported that the robbers shattered display cabinets before fleeing the scene in a black BMW. Shortly after the robbery, the stolen vehicle was involved in a collision at the Ng Tung Chai roundabout in Tai Po, crashing into another car. Eyewitness accounts suggest that three of the suspects exited the BMW and fled towards Kadoorie Farm.
The police were quickly alerted to the robbery and launched “Operation EXIGENT” to intercept any suspicious vehicles in the vicinity. The case has since been handed over to the New Territories North Regional Crime Unit for further investigation.
Authorities have confirmed that one of the suspects, a Pakistani national, was apprehended in Pat Heung, while efforts continue to locate the remaining assailants.
