The second round of the ANFA Women’s League 2024–2025 saw a goalless but tense encounter between Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army FC at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Sunday.

The match became subject to controversy in the 22nd minute when Police’s Puja Rana found the back of the net, only for referee Nabindra Maharjan to disallow the goal, citing a foul on Army goalkeeper Anjana Rana Magar during the attempt. Protesting the decision, the Police team left the field for 25 minutes.

After prolonged discussions, Police finally returned to the playground, but neither side managed to convert their attacks into decisive goals. Despite the intensity and fast-paced nature of the match, both teams failed to capitalise on their opportunities. The game concluded amid fading light, leaving the fans and players in suspense until the end.

Following the stalemate, both teams now have four points each. However, Police lead the standings among the five teams on goal difference, with Army in second place.
