10th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) A video circulating online today shows a black handbag smoking and burning at the base while placed on a bench at the Starbucks located on the fourth floor of Langham Place, Mong Kok. The footage captures a male security officer swiftly using a fire extinguisher to douse the flames, successfully putting out the fire.
Social media users speculated that an external battery charger inside the bag may have caused the incident.
