18th July 2021 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong Observatory issued Standby Signal No.1 at 9.40pm today.
Thunderstorm Warning was issued at 8:55 p.m. on 18 Jul 2021. It will be valid until 11:00 p.m. today. Squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.
Intense gusts reaching 70 kilometres per hour or above may affect Hong Kong.
The area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea is bringing showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong. It has intensified slightly. A tropical cycloneappears to be forming.
At 8pm today, Tropical Storm In-fa was centred about 1070 kilometres east of Taibei. It is forecast to move northwest at about 8 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the seas east of Taiwan and intensify gradually.
