10th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) The Hong Kong Observatory has issued a cold weather warning as temperatures are forecasted to drop significantly tomorrow morning. In urban areas, the minimum temperature is expected to be around 11 degrees Celsius, while parts of the New Territories, including Ta Kwu Ling, could experience even lower temperatures, plunging to just 6 degrees.
Additionally, the Observatory has warned farmers and relevant stakeholders of the possibility of ground frost forming on high ground and in northern regions of the New Territories.
The weather is expected to remain cold on Sunday, 12th January, with a considerable temperature difference between day and night. During the day, conditions will be very dry, with maximum temperatures reaching approximately 17 degrees.
