Wang, who had recently arrived in Thailand, was reported missing and is suspected of being transported to Myanmar. The Mae Sot police department released a recent photograph of him, showing him with a shaved head and wearing a white tracksuit, with noticeable red marks on his legs.

Thai police spokespersons revealed that Wang arrived at the airport and travelled through Kanchanaburi and Kamphaeng Phet provinces before heading to Mae Sot. He was last seen near the border on 3rd January at around 10.10am. Initial investigations indicate that Wang arrived in Thailand alone, carrying only a backpack.

According to police, Wang travelled directly from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Tak Province, with the driver identified as the sole witness in the case. The spokesperson reiterated that there is no evidence of coercion or assault against Wang. They also noted that it remains unclear whether he crossed into Myanmar via an official border checkpoint.
