14th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) Alan Tam, the 74-year-old Hong Kong pop icon, has made a public return following a health scare that forced him to cancel a scheduled concert in Huizhou last November. The singer revealed that he fell ill after performing in Quzhou, where sudden weather changes left him drenched and chilled, leading to persistent coughing that even caused him to miss a celebratory banquet.
Last month, Tam was spotted in Mong Kok, dressed warmly in a down jacket, suggesting he remains cautious about the cold weather.
In recent social media updates, Tam has shared that he is enjoying an active social life, frequently gathering with friends in the entertainment industry. He recently met with former Polygram executive William Kwan, as well as fellow entertainers Eric Tsang, George Lam, and Alan Tam. The singer appeared rejuvenated, with a rosy complexion and a broad smile as he reconnected with old friends.
Notably, fans have commented on Tam’s new hairstyle, as he sported a high, receding hairline that some have playfully described as heart-shaped. Tam himself remarked on social media about the joy of reuniting with friends, indicating that he is looking forward to more gatherings in the new year.
