1st May 2024 – (Hong Kong) Wan Chai is gearing up to offer an enchanting experience to its residents and visitors alike with an eagerly awaited drone show scheduled for 11th May at 8pm. The Wan Chai Temporary Promenade will serve as the backdrop for this mesmerising display, coinciding with the festivities of the Buddha’s Birthday and the Cheung Chau Bun Festival.

Adding to the excitement, two additional dates have been marked in June to celebrate the joyous Dragon Boat Festival. On 10th June, spectators will have the opportunity to witness another breathtaking drone performance. Following that, on 15th June, the night sky above Wan Chai will be ablaze with a stunning fireworks extravaganza. Both shows are set to commence promptly at 8pm, lasting approximately 10 minutes, and will take place at the picturesque Wan Chai Temporary Promenade.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board’s official website reveals that the upcoming fireworks display on 15th June will coincide with the opening day of the International Dragon Boat Invitational Races. For the best viewing experience, spectators are advised to position themselves at the Wan Chai Temporary Promenade, which includes dedicated areas for water sports, recreational activities, and the HarbourChill seaside relaxation zone. To heighten the overall ambience, state-of-the-art sound systems will be deployed, ensuring that the audience becomes fully immersed in the spectacle.

The first drone show is scheduled for the upcoming Saturday, 11th May, followed by the second one on 10th June, in sync with the Dragon Boat Festival celebrations. Both performances will commence at 8pm, with the Wan Chai Temporary Promenade serving as the launch site, offering a breathtaking display that will leave audiences captivated for approximately 10 minutes.
