23rd July 2024 – (Taipei) Lin Jing En, the wife of late Taiwanese lyricist Eason Li Kun Cheng, finds herself embroiled in yet another controversy as a video surfaced online, showing her allegedly smoking and drinking in a park while being approached by several individuals suspected to be homeless. The incident comes shortly after her recent infraction of stealing someone else’s takeaway meal, which garnered public attention.
The video, shared by a netizen on a popular online forum, captures Lin Jing En seated on a park bench dressed in black attire. Holding a can of beer in one hand, she is accompanied by two elderly individuals who appear to be homeless. Shockingly, one of the elderly men, shirtless from the waist up, brazenly approaches her, making an indecent request.
“Help me take a puff,” the elderly man reportedly says.
Lin Jing En promptly pushes him away, while another elderly person offers her a cigarette and proceeds to light it for her. However, she takes only one puff before returning it to the person who offered it.
The emergence of this video has further fueled public scrutiny and criticism of Lin Jing En’s behavior. The controversial actions portrayed in the footage have raised questions about her choices and associations. Some observers argue that her involvement with homeless individuals in such circumstances is a cause for concern.
It is worth noting that Lin Jing En has faced previous controversies due to her relationship with Li Kun Cheng, who passed away in April 2023 at the age of 66 after battling colorectal cancer. The couple’s significant age gap, with Lin Jing En being 40 years younger than her late husband, has drawn substantial attention and criticism throughout their relationship. However, they remained resilient in the face of public scrutiny.
