17th January 2025 – (Hong Kong) At approximately 8.21am today, the owner of a Chinese medicine shop located in the basement of Luen Fat House on Ping Cheong Path, Yuen Long, reported a burglary to the authorities. The shop’s metal gate was found to have been forcibly opened, and signs of a thorough search were evident inside, suggesting that intruders had gained access.
Upon investigation, police believe that the burglars tampered with the electrical control box to raise the roll-up gate, allowing them to escape with a significant haul. Initial assessments indicate that items valued at around HK$300,000, including prized fish maw, shark fins, and bird’s nest, were stolen. The case has been classified as a burglary, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
