Pretti5 Intensive Water-Glow Moisturiser (HK$580)
My beauty cabinet is immaculate. I line up variations of products in my 10-step skincare routine, and each bottle gets (almost!) equal love as I rotate them daily. It is no small compliment when I say that I have been reaching for this bottle almost every morning the last couple of weeks. My dry skin soaks up hyaluronic acid like nobody’s business, and with the sweltering heat of summer upon us, this lightweight yet thoroughly moisturising product has been my ultimate staple. – Sandra Kwong, Features Editor
Tata Harper Radiance Mask ($580)
100 percent natural, non-toxic, non-scented and no artificial fillers and nasties – buzz words I find myself looking for more and more when it comes to skincare and beauty. These days I’m taking it back to basics, using less and instead selecting high-quality products deliver results. It’s safe to say that Tata Harper’s Radiance Mask ticks all of these boxes. Drunk Elephant O-Bloos Rosi Drops Blush (HK$285)
If I had to choose one face product, it’d be blush. In particular, the kind that gives me a slightly sun-burnt, spent-too-long-in-the-sun flush; the kind that looks like I’ve just hopped off a flight after two weeks spent on a sun-drenched island resort. So, for Drunk Elephant’s O-Bloos (‘Bloos’ meaning ‘Blush’ in Afrikaans) Rosi Drops, a light, easy-to-wear liquid blush with a soft golden shimmer, you count me as an instant admirer. No need to ask twice. Not only is it so easy to use (no tools, no fuss) but the 100 percent vegan Marula Oil- and peptide blend-base means its glides on smooth and is not tacky or crumbly to the touch. A pea-size drop of the pigmented formula will be all you need for a flattering rosy glow. On lazy days, I mix a couple drops into daily SPF moisturiser for a full-face instant-awakening glow, or, if I’m being particular, dot a couple drops along the high cheekbones and nose bridge and gently blend it in. — Lorria Sahmet, Style Editor
Ouai Leave In Conditioner (HK$205)
When you have bleached-past-the-point-of-no-return hair (hey, jet-black to platinum is no joke), your expectations for hair strands that feel anything close to human are rendered essentially null. I’m imprisoned in hay city, population: me. Now, if a leave-in conditioner can somehow bring shine and softness to the mane I call mine, there’s something magical going on. And there’s something magical going on with Ouai’s Leave In Conditioner. It somehow finagles three pluses into one tight bottle: A leave-in conditioner, a detangler and a heat protectant. I spritz it all-over on towelled-off hair and keep it up and simmering in a hair turban, but it can be used on dry hair for a dose of hydration, too.
Another plus: It smells really, really good, too. As do all Ouai products. Big, big fan. Buy-it-with-my-own-money fan. — Joey Wong, Editor
iS CLINICAL Hydra Cool Serum (HK$972)
As somebody who spends a lot of time out and about, the environmental stress from my surroundings really takes a toll on my skin. Through the years, I have struggled with acne whether it’s been severe or it’s just been a small breakout or dealing with everyday congestion. As a beauty lover, I am always trying new serums and I recently came across iS Clinical’s ‘Hydra-Cool’ serum. Arriving in a light blue gel like texture, it does exactly what it says on the label. It hydrates in a really cooling way and it leaves my skin feeling super supple and bouncy. When it comes to applying it, I like to slowly pat and push it into my skin, rather than using the circle motion.
