11th November 2023 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong’s first AV actress, Erena So, has announced the release of her sixth adult film. Unlike her previous works, which focused on explicit content, this new release promises a unique storyline centred around a cross-cultural love story between a Hong Kong and Japanese couple. Fans were taken aback by this unexpected departure from the typical “action-packed” format, as the film explores the romantic aspects of relationships.
The recently released preview on So’s official website offers a glimpse into the film’s plot. It begins with the couple’s first encounter, followed by scenes of them dating, strolling through the streets, and enjoying ice cream together. Only towards the end does the film transition into more intimate scenes. So shared in an interview with local media that the filming process indeed started with the couple’s dating phase, capturing the essence of a blossoming romance. She expressed her excitement about portraying such innocence, stating, “It has been a long time since I experienced something so pure. Initially, we were just enjoying the scenery, eating ice cream with my boyfriend—it was incredibly romantic.”
The dialogue between the couple in the film is improvised, adding a touch of authenticity. So admitted that she found the experience quite awkward but acknowledged that many people enjoy watching these slightly uncomfortable moments.
Given that the film revolves around a Hong Kong-Japanese love story, the communication between the characters occurs in a manner reminiscent of everyday interactions between Hong Kong locals and Japanese individuals. It combines simple Japanese and English phrases to convey genuine reactions. So explained, “All the dialogue was improvised without any predetermined design; otherwise, it wouldn’t have been as awkward. However, the company believes that these awkward moments appeal to a broader audience.”
Apart from the romantic elements, the film also features outdoor scenes where the use of vibrating toys adds an extra layer of excitement. When asked about her personal experiences with such toys, So candidly responded, “I only use them during intimate moments with a partner—I don’t need toys for self-pleasure. As for using a vibrating toy in public, it was a completely new experience for me and definitely created a striking contrast.”
