3rd November 2023 – (Hong Kong) Barrister-turned-insurance manager and social media influencer Joseph Lam Chok, found himself entangled in the JPEX virtual asset trading platform case. Despite the legal troubles, Lam has been fortunate to have his girlfriend by his side, and their relationship has grown stronger over time. Yesterday marked their fifth anniversary, and the couple celebrated by dining out together. Lam shared a video on social media capturing the celebration, in which he addressed the camera, saying, “What does it feel like to celebrate our fifth anniversary? She was 30 years old when we got together, and now she’s 35.” Hiromi Wada, responded with a resigned expression, saying, “You’ve taken away five years of my youth.” Later, while Wada was in the restroom, Lam secretly recorded himself and confessed, “While Hiromi is in the restroom, I want to honestly share my thoughts and reflections on our five years together—I deeply regret it.”
In a gesture of celebration, Wada had prepared a rather unique cake, but Lam appeared unimpressed. The cake was shaped like a roasted pig, with the words “You’ll be in prison for our fifth anniversary” humorously inscribed on top. However, Lam revealed that he had encountered a fortune teller during the event who assured him that he would not be imprisoned. Lam expressed confidence in the fortune teller’s prediction.
