3rd November 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 10.39am today, two trucks travelling along Wong Chuk Hang Road in the direction of Aberdeen Tunnel collided near Yan’s Tower. One of the trucks veered into the middle of the road and struck a stone barrier, causing a street lamp post on the barrier to topple over. Fortunately, both truck drivers, identified as Mr. Wong (67 years old) and Mr. Chan (74 years old), escaped the incident without injuries. However, the fallen lamp post obstructed the flow of traffic on both sides of the road, leading to significant congestion.
Following the collision, relevant authorities promptly arrived at the scene to remove the fallen lamp post. The operation to clear the obstruction caused considerable delays and congestion in the area. Traffic was forced to slow down and navigate around the site, causing inconvenience to commuters during the peak hours.
